Visit the GEORGE KENNY SCHOOL OF CHAINSAW CARVING and gift shop located across the street is a favorite stop for many visitors to the area. They have contests which draw artists from throughout the northwest and are now selling their artwork worldwide on the "web". This business has grown significantly each year and is now a highly successful school with courses offered through the local college and students from throughout the country.

Visit the ALLYN HISTORIC CHURCH built in 1909 - they're are celebrating their 100 year anniversary in August. They are open to visitors on special occasions and by appointment. (1 block away)
Go 'clamming' at the nearby state shellfish beds
On the third weekend in July each year (this year the 18th & 19th) the town hosts the ALLYN DAYS SALMON BAKE & FESTIVAL at the waterfront park. The salmon bake is Saturday from noon to 6pm. There will be music, booths, crafts, an art show, entertainment and even a Saturday night dance. Check the website for more information.
Visit the THELER CENTER and explore their internationally recognized wetland trail system and interpretive center located at the innermost point of Hood Canal just 5 minutes away by car.
LAKELAND VILLAGE GOLF COURSE in Allyn has a 27 hole golf course and will be expanded to 36 holes in the near future. This is a popular and affordable course which is enjoyed by local residents as well as many visitors from out of the area. (There are 5 other major golf courses within 20 minutes of Allyn!)
Enjoy lunch or dinner at the LAKESIDE BISTRO and watch the fish jumping in the lake. They are just a quarter mile from us.
